lol @ people actually believing Pirog being a huge threat to Martinez, the guy is good but he hasn't done anything bar beating the hype job Danny Jacobs. Martinez has power and it would be brutal against Pirog.

Age is not on martinez's side, so dont know how he will continue at this pace, he an grow old overnight. Plus, his style does not suit his age, whereas although BHop is 46, he has a more conservative style which suites him and fights at his pace.

the thing is pirog is younger, fresher and his style can pose problems for martinez, its a tough fight imo.

If there is anything I've gathered from these forums is that boxing fans are the most cynical, piss and vinegar fans on the planet.

Sergio Martinez could've knocked out King Kong and some moron on here would have said, " But King Kong was too slow and dumb to beat Sergio. He should have fought Godzilla who breathes fire from this mouth."

Ca mon, guys. Sergio beat a very good fighter who had been undefeated and who had an extensive and accomplished amateur background.

Give the man his due. Sergio put on a clinic and great performance. Leave it at that.

Why so much cynicism? The same thing happened with Manny when he beat Margarito. Give the man is due.

But the problem is, is that these cynical fans have so much man-love for their favorite fighters that they can't give credit or appreciate the performances of other fighters.

Stop the nut-hugging because it is clouding your judgement and you end up looking like a fool when you make dumb comments.

With all due respect to Pirog, he is not in the same level as Martinez right now. Floyd will never fight Martinez...nor Pacquiao...nor anyone who has a pulse. My boy Cotto gets destroyed at 160 lbs and his next fight is with Margacheato who can still beat him again.

Hey, hey, HEY, HEY MAN! Don't get it twisted King Kong is not slow his fast and throws combination while urinating and defecating at the same time. Godzilla is the slow one that keeps coming for you and yea, you can't really discount the fire breathing.
