Well, true, but Manny would probably beat him.

I am not disagreeing with you, just pointing out a couple of things.....

      I said " may have "

1.) Neither OJ, nor myself, are either qualified or informed enough to quote anything other than opinion on that subject.

2.) Cotto said that the catch-weight did not affect him. Yep, I know, Miguel is a class act, maybe he just said that so as not to discredit Manny, who know's? But the point is..... Cotto said that the weight wasn't an issue.

As I said, I am not necessarily disagreeing with you, and losing ANY extra weight at all must have at least affected Miguel's preparation.

If I could prove it, I woulda said it bro, and I didn't want to get hit back with a Cotto link quoting him saying that the weight did not affect him.

Maybe OJ didn't know that Cotto said that, but I never bluff.

Miguel having been battered by both Margs and Clottey, having no real trainer, and his problems in camp with and without Evan, were more of an issue than the weight imho.

The point is, come in weighing whatever the *** you want, but do not demand that your opponent be anything less than at his best. It's fkn crazy that Team Pacquiao, or anyone else for that matter, expected Manny to be given full credit for beating Cotto at catch-weight.

Yeah right, everyone would forget, and never mention it again

It serves them right, catch-weight fight's are bull****.

If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Pac fans are too in love with Manny that their blind to facts Arum, Roach and Pac himself put out there on front street.
Roach is forever contradicting himself...taking whatever he says as truth is laughable.

          Case closed.
Well, I never thought much of Baldo, but..... well before that fight was signed HEAPS of people were saying that Floyd would never have the balls to get in the ring with him

Why not? Cotto only weighed 1 less pound than he did against Clottey.

Oh ok...now Roach is not to be taken seriously? Did the Mosley fight happen? NO! Did the catchweight fights happen? YES. Seems like Roach was dead right & serious. Don't try to get out of it. You are saying Roach is laughable when it comes to the truth but you believe everything that is coming out of the Pacquiao camp when it comes to prasing him and when convenient? If that is the case, Roach is lying about Pacquiao wanting to fight Floyd. See! 2 can play this game. You should delete your account personally. You've been EXPOSED.

That's my point. They thought Floyd wouldn't fight him because of size and look. Floyd fought him at 147 without a catchweight.

Also, he had no trainer, and Pac tried to drain him.

There should be no such thing as a catch-weight fight, especially considering that fights are no longer sanctioned under the original 8 divisions.

Catch-weight contests were originally conceived to enable a match-up between two opponents that would normally never meet because of weight disparity.

Those fights were known as an " exhibition match ".

Any type of event/bout that takes place at catch-weight, should be officially classified as an exhibition match, and should not be sanctioned by the ABC bodies.

There are only two reasons to demand a catch-weight.....

1.) you are not good enough to compete with that fighter at his natural weight, which deems the bout an exhibition match and should therefore not be sanctioned

2.) you are attempting to drain him to gain an unfair advantage

Pac tried to drain Cotto, because he had already fought at 147.

That was a b1tch-move, plain and simple.
WHO CARES IF COTTO WAS ACTUALLY DRAINED ?

I NEVER SAID THAT HE WAS !!

I SAID THAT IT WAS A B1TCH MOVE TO ATTEMPT TO DRAIN COTTO, BECAUSE MANNY HAD ALREADY FOUGHT AT 147

                  • Pac is not gonna go fight a MW.
As stated many times before, they said that Pac is losing a lot of speed above WW and that's why he came below WW at the Margarito fight.

I dont see pac making 150 anyway so i dont know why people are pushing for this fight to be at 154. I'm not protecting pac, but If I were pac, i sure would be smart enough to not fight a MW if I cant even make WW. ....unless i'm super confidence in skills alone.
