Cotto-Cintron on the PR day parade weekend at MSG next year makes sense to me. Should be easy to make since the frog is signed to Top Rank now (co-promoted I think).

I have no doubt that Mayorga would beat a majority of the guys in the top 10. The one who came into shape saturday night.

Either way...considering who's there and their inactivity, there isn't a problem with them. These guys need to fight and get weeded out.

He was ranked the #1 contender. Contenders are ranked below the champion, obviously. Being ranked the #1 contender means you're considered to be the best of the rest.

          we're talking about 140 not 154.

and we're talking about ring magazine rankings and ring magazine champions NOT some ****** WBO / WBC / WBA / IBF garbage rankings and titles.

next time know the topic before opening your mouth.

          dumbfuck.

            pretty much.

#1 in ring when there is no champion means you're the #1 ranked fighter in the division.

Your confusing the alphabet belt holders with the world champions. The only world champions are the lineal champions. The alphabet belt holders are just alphabet belt holders, nothing more. It is not possible, by definition, for more than one person to be the champion of the world in a given weight division at a given time.

calling cotto #1 at 140 back then would be like calling sturm #1 at 160 right now.

sturm is #1 but martinez is the champion at 160.

Cotto was definitely never the best at 140lbs.

didnt know that beating old man Mayorga could vault you to #1.
