The limit is 147 and until Roach has him show up at a fight weighing 139 he's a welterweight.
Relax bro. I'm agreeing with you that walking around at 150 makes him a full fledged welterweight.

To drop weight in itself isn't an advantage, no. But being 15lbs heavier then your opponent in the ring definitely is!

Again, why do you think they're doing this? Because they're better of staying at WW then going to JMW even though they would easily weigh-in at 154, that's why.

Tell me when was the last time the better fighter lost because he weighed less. I'll wait on that answer and I dont wanna hear about Jack Johnson or damn Henry Armstrong. The advantage is as minute as what shoes to wear to the fight. Trying to hang around for the little guys huh. That means time to move up like I said. He's a natural (which means without altering) WW. Clottey, Margarito and Cotto are JMW's and borderline MW's. I tell you what though, when he fights Floyd it will be WW vs WW because Mayweather wont struggle to make the weight.

I don't know, because it's not common that a better fighter fights guys as big as Pacquiao has, compared to themselves. Don't really understand where you're going with this though. RJJ wasn't a real HW even though he whooped Ruiz.

I'm still waiting to hear why pretty much everybody, in multiple sports, drop weight and rehydrate post weigh-in if it doesn't give them an edge. (Not that process in itself, but being able to compete against smaller guys)

Pac and May is pretty similar size-wise, I agree. I would say that Floyd is slightly bigger but that wouldn't be a decisive factor in the fight. Btw, they'll never fight eachother.

The only thing I was getting at was the fact that Pac is a WW because he weighs as a WW and he fights as a WW. Im glad we agree that guys who drain to make 147 arent natural WW's but just looking for edge on smaller guys which I dont frown upon because it is the norm and more times than not its a hinderance not an asset.

Manny is a grown man and a natural welter at this point. This is a plea for everyone to stop acting like he's young David slaying Goliath in every fight. Some things he does are extraordinary but sometimes he's just a welterweight thats better than another welterweight. True Pac fans stop degrading your guy's run at welterweight just to boost his resume because I'm sure he doesn't give a **** and probably would be a little offended at the fact that it sounds like you're trying to save face if he loses rather than just support him as a WW champion.
and you call yourself a student of the game? Why don't you write about your favorite fighters instead? You sound like nothing but a hater.

I never said they weren't natural WW's, in this day and age THEY ARE. That's what you get if you have the weigh-in that long before the fight. The top JWW weighs as much or more in the ring then Pac.

And again, OF COURSE it's an advantage in most cases. I've asked you multiple times now but I'll try again; why would they do it if it didn't benefit them?

Sergio walks around as a light heavyweight but fights as a middleweight, what does that make him?

Marquez walks around as welterweight but fights as a lightweight, what does that make him?

You cant read that and call me a hater unless you are one of the excuse makers. And I know for a fact you are so no need for us to continue unless you're changing your life right...............now. Ive given Pac nothing but praise but some of his fans are ***in rediculous. From some of your responses you'd think Pac was a one legged midget with a learning disability taking on HW's. Tighten up then you read it again for what it really is.

Naturally he's a LHW then. You know the weight classes. Then too its one thing to not be in shape and weigh a little more but a-whole-nother thing to starve to death waiting to stand on a scale.
