    Pacquiao - Martinez: How about...

Both sides agree to do the fight at 154. But as we all know Pac will only probably weigh in at the WW max. So to compensate for the difference at weigh in, Sergio shouldn't be allowed to go beyond 158 lbs at fight night. I think this is a fair deal considering many are only looking at the weight difference. Both fighters making a compromise to make the fight.

    Thoughts?

martinez would be weak as hell on fight night and manny would be at full strength...margo wasnt forced to not weight more than 158....they can fight at 150 and let martinez rehydrate all he wants just like margo..how bout that

Its not right to drain a fighter on fight night

Sergio barely loses any weight during training camp, he simply cuts water weight. Doing something like that means Sergio will have to lose like 15 pounds

People need to get over it. They know they size difference is way too big and the fight will not happen.

Fighters should not have a limit on how much they can rehydrate the day after the weight in.

But hypothetically lets say that did happen who would win? Easy, Pacquiao by KO/TKO. Pacquiao fought Margarito when he weighed 168 and only hurt Pacquiao once in a 12 round fight. Pacquiao broke both sides of Margaritos face and he had to punch upwards. He also hurt Margarito numerous times to the body. Martinez at 158 would not be able to hurt Pacquiao and Margarito beat the **** outta Martinez and we all know what Pacquiao did to Margarito.

            Martinez already rejected that.

I don't see this fight happening unless Manny finally becomes a full fledged welterweight hydrating himself 154+. From the looks at his sedentary lifestyle with congress work, there is very low chance of this happening unless he goes all Duran and comes in fat.

Considering what Sergio's side has been saying, they sure will not go down to 150 so I was just being realistic. I believe he will still be very competitive given the 158 restriction. Remember it's practically going to be a WW vs JMW.

I guess Sergio wanting to fight Manny or Floyd gives us fans something to talk about. I really wouldn't disregard the possibility of the fight happening since Manny has defied the odds before so discussing possible compromise is good boxing talk.
