I saw the post fight interview where mayorga said he was going to retire. He was twiddling his thumbs while answering questions so the thumb seems fine to me.

he simply didn't want to get knocked out again. I thought that was abundantly clear. Yet, it was a very good fight. Definitely more entertaining then I expected.
