Ward too quick for Martinez, he can fight at 154 or 160 but good SMW's will beat him, no need to try for Ward

It would be close as the poll suggests. I think Martinez could make 168, he walks around at 180+ apparently.

Ward all the way! This fight will not even be close!!! Martinez is just another flavor of the month just like Saul Alvarez?! Ward will B!tch Slap Martinez all over the ring and make him go down on the floor in all four's for a little back entry loving?!

that's your reasoning??? Pathetic...most fighters look horrible against Bika....i thought he nearly beat Calzaghe.

Ward vs Martinez at 168 is Ward's fight imo.

I think with this match up we need to put aside how good we think these two are and consider two things:
                      1. How does Ward do against southpaws?
Ward does not have many world class southpaws on his resume. In the amateurs he faced plenty but in the last couple years he doesn't have much experiance with the unorthodox stance.

                      2. Is 168lbs too big for Martinez?
Remember just recently he was a light middleweight and aside from the lethargic Pavlik, his big wins at middleweight has come against light middleweights or ex-welterweights, Dzinziruk, P. Williams, and Cintron.

Food for thought for the true handicappers out threre.
