Ward would never allow himself to walk into those shots. And for whoever said Ward had trouble with Bika, Bika gives everyone trouble just because of how extremely aggressive he is. Ward was rarely even hit clean by Bika anyways. Ward would win a very wide decision against Martinez because he isn't going to be sitting in front of him getting hit, and lets not forget, Ward is now much bigger than Martinez anyhow.
KO'ing Dzinziruk is impressive because he didn't walk into those shots. Martinez is a very busy fighter, and would constantly be putting pressure on Ward. I'd see Martinez constantly cutting off Ward, getting off first, and putting a hurt on him. Ward would put up a fight which would be his downfall.

Also, this poll specifies 162, not 168. That's pretty much where Martinez is now and is comfortable. A weight drained Ward helps Martinez also.

If the poll said 168 I'd take Ward just based on his size alone.

I am a huge Mara fan but I have to go with ward, not only do I believe Ward will become a champion but He is from my area so I must support him by default.
honestly either one winning would make me happy I would just be hoping neither one would get hurt.

I don't think he can KO him. He's too big for Martinez to do that. Pavlik's 178 pound body didn't seem too hurt by Martinez' punches other than a few here and there. Probalby would be the same with Ward.

I suppose you're also forgetting that Martinez hasn't even fought a full fledged middleweight aside from Pavlik, in which he had trouble with. Now you're saying a full fledged Super-middleweight is going to be KO'd be Martinez? Ward fought at middleweight very early in his career, so lets say this catch-weight was plausible. If there's one thing I noticed, the majority of Martinez's effective shots are loaded up. If Martinez couldn't put away a limited fighter in Pavlik and Cintron, what makes you think you he's going to man-handle Andre Ward?
