    not everything is an EXCUSE

    there are reasons..

floyd was superior, but yes 16 months off does add a detriment to any boxer..

floyd overcame a tough second and gutted out a great performance...

    naz aint making excuses

you all need to calm down

    plus

    sergio destroys floyd at 154

Yes, I said it! Oscar got robbed!

Dude your highly entitled to your opinion but mine is what it is also and not based on personal BS. I'm a fan of boxing first then both guys and I saw Martinez get hit a lot in this last fight. Floyd has the skills and the mentality to exploit that. It wouldn't be easy but it can be done. Floyd hasn't fought a guy like Sergio but Sergio hasn't fought a guy like Floyd either. Great fight in my opinion that's on course to happening. Could go either way but I would favor Floyd slightly.

Martinez gets hit but he is sturdy. Sergio also has 1 punch KO power. Floyd would have to turn up the heat and let his hands go. Martinez won't make it easy because he is a thinker who adjusts well during a match just like Floyd.

I agree Martinez does have one punch power but you neutralize that with timing, great defense and blazing speed. I can see Sergio getting to Floyd but I can also see Floyd putting the goods on Sergio. Sergio would get hit a whole lot with his hands down against Floyd. There's always the chance of Floyd getting caught but there's also the chance he won't.

Even with Manny Stewart, I still think Margs stops Cotto late in the rematch. I love Cotto, and couldn't care for Margs, but I think the stylistic match-up favors Margs too much. In any event, I'll be rooting for Cotto.

I can see both sides of the "excuse-making" of Naaz, but I highly respect him, so I don't think that he's making excuses. A 16 month lay off would harm anyone, especially against the 1st/2nd (at the time) best fighter in the world. With that said, Floyd put up a masterful performance. All credit to him. As a fight fan, I just wish he would fight much more often.

Martinez has all of that (May defense is better) including a jab that out jabbed a guy called the razor for his neutralize. Floyd is nice with his so will never understimate him but Martinez is an animal right now.

He's definitely an animal but being a boxing fan has taught me that styles makes fights, especially on the elite level. Floyd is that rare special kind of fighter and if you look at the guys Sergio is fighting aint none of them nearly on Floyd's level which tells me it's gonna be a whole new game with Floyd. Sergio aint walking over Floyd so what's gonna happen when they meet? We will see.

Floyd is definitely a rare breed fighter that you can never fully count out but Martinez's skill level, size and durability could be a big problem for Floyd if they ever to fight. Lets keep it all the way 100 my peoples. Sergio Martinez is putting out top guys and making it look easy. In a Floyd/Martinez potential matchup at 154, for me there is no clear cut winner but Sergio Martinez edges it for me because prior to Margarito over 10 years ago convincingly beat him? Cintron and PWill 1? Floyd/Martinez is a chess match. I'm just thinking about when Shane caught Floyd and almost got the best of him and now I'm thinking about Martinez who is a south paw by the way catching Floyd with a precision punch. I don't know man. The question is, can Floyd keep Sergio off of him at 154?

Yeah but how come Naazim didn't say that before the Floyd fight happened? Why after?

And now all the sudden oh it's cause we had a 16 month layoff. Say what you want about Floyd but at least he gives credit where credit is due. Unlike these clowns in boxing.
He's been mad ever since the Mayweathers made fun of his towel technique.
