Hard to say against a fighter like Mayorga and his awkward style. People said the same thing about Shane until he fcked margarito's life up. I think Cotto beats Margarito in the rematch. Cotto was outboxing Margs in the first fight and really got careless on the ropes with his hands down as he tried to slide away and got caught in the last 20 sec. of the 10th round. That changed the rest of the night. It wasn't a blow out by any means and while Margarito was coming on in the latter rounds, Cotto by making a few changes could have went on to win that fight. Gave Margo too many freebee shots and paid the price.

Plaster too is very likely a factor in this fight.

it's not the blood that's concerned people but that the wrap is cracked at the index finger/middle knuckle.. the gause and tape shouldn't crack like that.

Any one else aware that Cotto had to leave the press confrence early because he didn't feel well.

Doesn't bode well for the Margo fight.

I wonder how much rust Margo will have going directly into the Cotto fight.

If hes off. Or starts slower than usual. That could be enough for Cotto to make it to the finish line.

i have my doubts about that fight. i think margarito cheated. cant anyone say anything to change my mind. lets see what happens in the rematch.

a younger shane mosley couldn't back cotto up(he hit him with his money shots too) except in spots and later on in the fight when he was still a lion

now a lightweight can do it in the 4th round

I'm not saying wether or not he had plaster cuz I don't know, but I know that he did break Cotto.

Before margarito, Cotto fought like a lion, he fought like he believed in himself, like he was the best, and until margarito, nobody had been able to prove him wrong.

Sure he might still be trying, but he's just driven by what he used to be- maybe when he sees a lesser fighter or easier fight, he'll go "o.k I still got this"
