My plan for Sergio. Fight Pirog or Golovkin in July and Kirkland in November.

There's only 4 or 5 guys in Boxing who are bonafide PPV fighters- Manny, Floyd, Cotto, Marquez, and possibly Chavez (he does pretty well w/ limited exposure w/ the Latin Fury cards).

Take Marquez, Pac, and Floyd out of the equation and it's clear that only 2 real options exist for Sergio's November fight... w/ one of them already having an agreement between his management and Sergio's to fight in the fall. So you put it together...

And Martinez will be fighting Andy Lee in the Summer.

This year is going to be an extremely tough choice.

Sergio will be in the mix, but Donaire and the winner of Wlad-Haye will be right in there with him.

Sampson Lewkowicz, Martinez's Advisor, speaking on potential fights
Putting Martinez on PPV will just guarantee casual fans won't see him. He's not a huge draw or partifcularly well known outside of the hardcore scene. He's on the verge of fully breaking through but it hasn't happened yet. He should be fighting competitive/action fights on regular HBO till he has a slightly bigger name.

That or piggyback off someone else's drawing ability and cash in right now. He's 36, not much time left to build himself up. Pretty much now or never.
