Come on now. Neiter Manny nor Floyd are JMW's, especially not Manny.

Was RJJ a HW in your opinion aswell?

When did people become boxing fans? Moving up is not the only measure of greatness. How many divisions did Hagler go up? Just dumb. Besides, Sergio has moved up.

The guy couldn't even weigh in at the 150 lbs, he came in under. He's obviously not built for that class. If he starts making claims to being the boss at 154, then yes he'll need to back it up. He hasn't.

You're right, continue calling out smaller fighters and ignore that their is a jam packed weight division directly above you. Sucks MW doesn't have strong competition, but that's the reality. Martinez is peaking now and considering his age only has so much time to polish his resume.

Yeah, he's really ignored his division. By beating the best guy there for the title two fights ago and taking on the man considered the best challenger one fight ago. Damn that Martinez.

Martinez vs. Mayweather at 154 is perfectly fine.

Martinez vs. Pac at 154 is perfectly fine.

Martinez vs. Pirog is perfectly fine.

It's called money, you know.....what PRIZE FIGHTERS fight for?

Money is the name of the game, Martinez is willing to fight anyone but he (like every single boxer alive) wants that big paycheck.

He's 36 years old and no matter how good of shape he is in, his time is almost up in this game. He started late in boxing and wants to make his money now while he can.

Who is going to pay to see him fight Pirog? LOL seriously......

If they are expected to move up in weight and fight JMWs and MWs, it's only fair Martinez be expected to fight Super Middle Weights. Is Martinez a small MW? Yes, but Pac and Mayweather are not big for their weight classes either.

A measure of a fighters P4P ability is being able to span weight classes.. I think Martinez' claim for the #1 and 2 P4P spots will be more credible once we see how he handles a Super Middle Weight. How do people feel about Martinez's responsibility and abilities above 160?
Because he just moved up fool. Stop pretending to be a fighter.
