If they are expected to move up in weight and fight JMWs and MWs, it's only fair Martinez be expected to fight Super Middle Weights. Is Martinez a small MW? Yes, but Pac and Mayweather are not big for their weight classes either.

A measure of a fighters P4P ability is being able to span weight classes.. I think Martinez' claim for the #1 and 2 P4P spots will be more credible once we see how he handles a Super Middle Weight. How do people feel about Martinez's responsibility and abilities above 160?
I don't really care that Martinez isn't looking to move UP in weight, it's something that I don't think is easy for just any fighter (it could be for him, maybe it won't be). If you look at Shane Mosley he's always fought better at 147 than he had at 154, not everybody can adjust effortlessly. What I don't like is the fact that people expect Pacquiao and Mayweather to be those guys, that can move up effortlessly and remain exactly like themselves. There's this misconception that they'll be the exact same fighter at a weight class higher. More or less, we're conceding that we may not or will not get the best Mayweather or the best Pacquiao to fight a beast in Martinez.

Sergio, on the other hand started @ 147 and we're asking to see him @ 168. As you said, that is an increase of 21lbs or only 14.3 percent of initial body weight.

Therefore, it is asking less of Sergio to fight @ 168 than it is to ask Manny to fight @ 130 ,which (again) everybody knows is too light for him these days.

      Your point is crap.
You're comparing a guy that started at age 16 to a guy that started at 22. I doubt Sergio would've weighed 147 at 16. When Pac was 22, he was fighting at 122.

AA is undefeated middleweight. And it would be a good stepping stone for him to test the waters at Super Middleweight...

That being said, lets get to the point, I said that ARTHUR ABRAHAM SHOULD MOVE DOWN to fight him. It's up there waiting to be re-read by u... Happy?
