You can add Bert Cooper's 10 round war with Ray Mercer to his performances where he came up short. There was one though in there where Bert showed up totally unprepared and that's when Rid**** Bowe blew him out in two rounds. The thing was, with Bert Cooper, you never knew which one would show up. But after the Michael Moorer fight, he just faded away and you never saw a determined Bert Cooper again. And hearing that at his last fight in February he weighed 244 lbs, he probably has no chance against Cedric Boswell...

One thing I did want to mention though was when after losing to Holyfield, he was quoted as saying "No more ESPN fights" which thoroughly pissed off ESPN. After that, I think he was on USA Tuesday Night Fights once and never again appeared on ESPN. It will be interesting if the televised fights end early if they show any highlights of his fight with Boswell or not...

Bert just turned 45 but he might as well be 50 because he definitely looks like it after all the beatings he has taken...
