you kinda answered your own post. martinez wasn't known for shi-t and that's why he had to take a tough fight against williams to get where he is now. and now that he's calling the shots he can pick and choose opponents. why would martinez take a toss up fight for a million dollars when he can take a fight that he's almost surely gonna win for the same paycheck? it's not martinez's fault. it's just the way boxing is setup.

I do not think Sergio is ducking him but his handlers maybe to much of risk at this point for Sergio,get ready to watch him fight has been names for big paychecks he is already calling out Cotto a man who is smaller than him and shot.

Who is there at Middleweight besides Sturm who is only fighting bums right now? Cotto/Pac/Floyd are the only fights out there for him to make a big money. This is prizefighting where you want to not only build up your rep but your bankroll. He will fight Pirog for sure because HBO ain't giving him no easy fights, Dzinziruk was no easy fight.
