What is he talking about, Cotto and top Rank already offered him the fight at 2.5 million for yesterdays date of March 12th and they rejected it. Granted it was a buyout offer for Dibella. However, Martinez would have made much more than the 1 mil he made yesterday.... Cotto was already man enough and offered, he rejected the offer.

I see what your getting at, but I think its more a matter of Martinez being an old fighter and looking for the biggest name and money fight right away. The man is 36 years old, I imagine he is just trying to make his bones. He doesnt strike me as a fighter who is actually afraid of or unwilling to engage with the best opponents out there. Hence his fight with Dizzy.

^^yeah i have to agree with you...people are getting mad he is calling out cotto and pac, but only reason is basically theyre the biggest names (paydays) for him and theyre not too far away, 154 they can meet at. sergio has like another year tops, i think he'll be retire by the end of next year. he is going to look for the biggest paydays first, if he can't he'll just face the best opponents possible, hoping that sells great (which most likely will now) but cotto and pac are his biggest possible paydays guaranteed...
