angulo-already turned it down wants no part of martinez

    A couple of points:
HBO picked Dizzy, not Martinez or his team. So Pirog, if the fight is approved by HBO, is very viable.
As for Angulo, at the time he rejected the fight he was in position to be a star, and thought he was important enough to reject such a fight. If he were to get back into a position to take the fight, I doubt he would reject it the second time around.

umm Sturm is the elite at 160. Sturm hasn't come close to losing the past 3 years.

Martinez can go down to 154-156 for a fight with Cotto. And Cotto would fight Martinez at a catchweight for Martinez's belt.

Please. People were saying the same thing about Sergei, and look what happened to him. Come on. Sturm would get smoked. Only problem is, if it were in Germany, Sergio would have to fight the judges as well.

dibella picks the opponents not hbo. hbo either approves them or not. dibella gave hbo a list of opponents to choose from and pirog was not on that list. hence he doesn't want martinez to fight him. in fact they paid dzinziruk 850k out of the 2.4 million total purse when they surely could have gotten pirog to fight for much less(pirog made 50k against jacobs)

Chavez in Mexico would be a great payday. Also Lemeiux in Canada will be a get day and will happen soon considering Lemeuix is either rated #2 or the #3 contender for Martinez belt.

Fair enough, I wasnt aware they had excluded Pirog from the list. Although that doesnt lead me to believe they were or are afraid of that fight, considering the recent list of opponents Martinez has disposed of.
