yes that's exactly what i thought when i saw mayorga pretending he hurt his hand out of nowhere. mayorga had to lose by ko for betting purposes.

Come on. It was easy to see he was saving face by not getting knocked out in his last match. Wwhen Cotto hit hik with that hook he was out on his feet. When he got back up he knew Cotto was coming to finish him and he didnt want anymore punishment.

Mayorga and don king put money on him to lose in the 12th round.

He tries to win earlier in the fight, knowing, he will get a bigger paycheck.

If he doesnt think he can win, his back up plan is to go down in the 12 round.

I said this before the fight, Re-watch mosley vs Mayorga. Dude walks out and lets mosley hit him. Ive always said that KO was suspect.

i wouldn't be surprised if it was fixed at all. obviously we have no real evidence but it's still a possibility. how do you think mayorga even got this fight? the man was so desperate he was about to fight in mma and don king had to force him to stop. now all of a sudden he lands a big fight? mayorga is a yes man who needs money. he does what he is told. he put up an entertaining fight and went down in the 12th.

your theory is weak. He didnt see that punch. he was getting hit with it all night and the last couple times it had him back stepping. Mayorga came out in the 12th to KO... careless punching=open to being hit. he was hit by a monstrous punch he didnt see..
