        After tonight's fight I'm getting less and less interesting in the rematch.

        Both fighters have had their brains smashed in on more than 1 occasion since then and both are clealry shells of there former selves.

          Agreed, noticed this also, he didn't push the pedal, avoided all traps, bit more composed. If his defense can reach the level of the first rounds of the pac fight, he should be fine with Margarito.

              Easy, sending people to watch the Cheater to make sure He doesn't use plasters, adrenaline or any other dirty trick and beating a much lesser man than He faced then.
              Margarito = Mayorga.

                Cotto abandoned his body punches the first fight, and i realized Steward is taking him back to that discipline, and Magarito weakness is body shots. If Cotto goes to the body hard and early Margarito is in for a lot of trouble.

                  Unless Margarito's chin fails him in the rematch, I see a repeat of the first fight.

                  Cotto is by far my favorite, there's no secret there, but I'm not biased and I keep it 100 when it comes to his abilities and my opinion.

                  With that said, Cotto's whole left hand down "shoulder roll" is terrible!!..sure he made Mayorga miss, but you can literally stand in front of that guy and he'll still only have a 20% connect percentage. Cotto still got hit with unnecessary shots, and I believe he felt a few of those. Margarito isn't the puncher he was (plaster or not) but he remains the stalker, and doesn't back pedal for ****!..that and the memories of the first fight will make Cotto fail again.

                  I think Cotto's best bet is to speak up and try to lure Mayweather in to fighting him first and cash in on that and let 2011 be the last year for him. he's served us with 10 MAGNIFICENT years and he won't be forgotten anytime soon, his resume is very solid.

                  I'm not sure about this Margarito rematch, maybe because I was a little disappointed in his style tonight. I'll rewatch it and give it another assesment tomorrow, for now I'm saying Margarito wins a UD or another late round stoppage.

                    the Cotto/Marg fight affected both fighters...

                    the second would be different in that both fighters are mentally different...

                    also, plasterless Margarito has less confidence and less pop. just sayin

                      the fact is, cotto can't fight going backwards and he can't make margarito take a step back
