It's always funny when Clay fans complain about footwork. Clay himself had some of the worst footwork as is witnessed by the fact that Muhammy Clay was hit from pillar to post in nearly all of his fights.
Occasionally he would do the floating and shuffling (or what I call "clownin' and krumpin'") which consisted of merry-go-rounding (floating) and running-in-the-air-like-scooby-doo (shuffling). Floating is cowardice and shuffling is a useless gimmick (and only cool if you are a fan of epilepsy), but in the world of good-old-time-nostalgists useless gimmicks are more important than winning.
