The only thing I knew for sure entering this thread is that it'd be a majority of Toney votes, complete with lines like "easy KO", "mismatch", etc.

I'm not sure of the answer tbh. I don't really regard a mobile fighter who throws 100 slaps a round (and back then they had more pop) as an easy fight for Toney. I saw Roy do hit-and-run against a prime James and he made Toney look like a bumbling amateur.

Drake Thadzi and Montell Griffin beat James and so why wouldnt Calzaghe...no one beats/beat Joe at any of the weights he fought at

Depends what Toney showed up. If Toney is on his game, he could *** Calzaghe up. But if hes not, he'd get overwhelmed.

Toney had the power to seriously damage Calzaghe at 175. Toney brought power to the heavyweight division.

From a skills standpoint, I give Toney the edge there as well.

Calzaghe's non stop aggression and activity rate would play against him in a fight with Toney.

My prediction is the fight ends similar to how MARTINEZ-WILLIAMS 2 ended. With Calzaghe playing the role of Williams obviously....

Calzaghe was a heavy puncher who developed serious hand problems, and had to change his style.
