Talk about being owned by the conquistador for life. The original inhabitants of Mexico were Native Americans like Navajos, Apaches and Cherokees in the USA. A "Pocho" like you mentioned is actually just an American of Mexican Descent, but truly just American. I do not understand why people keep calling Americans of Mexican Descent, Mexican. An American of Mexican Descent cannot be Mexican because to be Mexican you have to had been born in Mexico!! It is like calling a African American "African" or "Nigerian". I believe most African Americans would feel insulted. Or If you called a white American with a Irish last name an Irish.
