Have we seen how Martinez responds to a good jab?

    Dzinzuruk has a great jab.

    Should be interesting.

I hope Dzinzuruk wins this one. If he could avoid Martinez' bombs then he has a good chance. Lets go Sergei!

Dizzy has EXCELLENT footwork and spacing. This is overlooked. He moves in and out of range seemlessly, this is another problem Sergio will have to deal with that he hasn't in awhile, if ever.

That's why I think this is gonna be a hard fight for Sergio. If dizzy just had a nice jab, this would be pretty easy work.

I've been wondering the same thing. It's a very intriguing match up. Anyone who think this isn't a competitive fight is crazy.

greek k coming your way when i spread more around

i've even heard the so called "experts" harping on dzinziruk only because of his jab. if that's all your seeing you're missing a good deal.

                he's a MASTER of distance
                an absolute master.
                he has tremendous balance.
he's an upright fighter, but he moves his head subtly
when he makes a guy miss he's always within range in a position to score points

he's got some highly refined craft.
he's just not very potent offensively.

he fought close to julio and joel couldnt do a damn thing with him.
he's not a runner who picks spots to shoot a jab.

he's a former olympian who has never lost as a pro in ten years
hell, he's never even been in a close fight

he's got three big things going against him:
he's been largely inactive for a long period of time
he's still a comfortable junior middleweight. sergio might have five lbs on him in the ring.
and finally he doesnt have eye catching or fight changing punches, which sergio does.

maravilla via close but decisive decision
there may be some tough rounds to score
and in this particular case i cant see them going anywhere but the way of the champion

i'm gonna be there in the mezzazine
anybody who wants to get a beer and hang out should hit me up!

Dzinzurik is a good boxer and he could still do something at 154 or 160 but Sexy is just a step too far for him imo. Too much speed, angles and movement. It wont be a blow out, but Sexy will clearly win on the cards

Dzinzuruk has the skills to beat martinez but he lacks power, agressivness, and speed. so pretty much martinez schools the ***** of this kids.easy win for martinez

I wish I was going. The most impressive about dizzy to me is the way he controls distance, even though I think he has the best jab in boxing. Probably because it's so hard for me personally to do it, lol!

Dizzy has a very economical straight left and a nice right hook. I would favor him over everyone but pwill at 154, and I'm on record saying he'd give Floyd hell (then he goes and signs with freaking dirt mcgirt).

I don't think this is gonna be a wide ud by any means. Sure Sergio has faster handspeed and uses angles, but that no good if your opponent isn't there and it all the sudden stuffing a pole in your face.

Like you said, dizzy uses everything available (jab, feet, elbows, shoulders) to keep opponents exactly where he wants them. I think it's pretty impressive to watch. He fought a very good lefty boxer in Santos and put him on his ass (when Santos was still good). People are thinking dizzy is so far out of his league, but he's not.

Both dudes came in at 158.5, I don't think size will play a huge role in this.
