No surprise there. Like Monte Barrett, Grant atleast has something left in the tank. He's no Bruce Seldon at this point.

Yeah, a lot of fighters feel this way. It takes a certain kind of fighter to put up with a douche like Teddy...

The best Teddy though was when he was training Michael Moorer against Holyfield in their first fight. In the corner, he said to Moorer around the eighth round: "I got your son on the phone, he wants to know why you don't want to be Heavyweight Champion!" I was pissed that night because I thought Holyfield got jobbed but when rewatching, I couldn't stop laughing.

You guys need to drop the hate on atlas.grant has had many fights since the guinn fight.atlas had NOTHING to do with grants previous demise & had no effect on grants confidence level...I shake my head...atlas had nothing to do with last night so bringing him up is sooooo ridiculous.get over the fact that 90% of the media & analysts think the klitschkos are the best of a weak era.Atlas is completely irrelevant here.so he thinks the klits are overrated...get over it!

Did I just watch a replay of the Barrett-Fields fight? Because Fields was hit with exactly the same punch by Grant after leaving himself wide open just like he did against Monte Barrett. You'd think after x amount of years as a professional boxer and having over 30 pro fights, Tye would have some knowledge of defense; yet this fight proved the contrary...

                  Oh yeah that's right.

Thankfully I was out until around 11 last night so the boxing gods couldn't tempt me to part with me 24.95.

I really want to see Cotto-Mayorga, but Martinez-Dzinziruk is a good fight.

Gonna be a tough decision tonight.

Maybe this is pathetic but I got Cotto-Mayorga and I'm not even gonna watch it live. I'll watch a couple undercards from it live and turn on the DVR, switch to HBO for both live fights, and after those watch the rest of Cotto-Mayorga.

When I'm watching HBO/Showtime fights I stay off my phone and the internet so I don't know the results.

I did the same thing last week with Judah-Mabuza.

That Moorer-Holyfield fight was the ONLY world title fight Teddy ever won as a trainer. And I agree, it was a close fight that could have been scored for Holyfield.

Compare Teddy's ONE win in a title fight to the 20-50 wins in world title fights won by BONA-FIDE top trainers such as Manny Steward, Nasim Richardson, Freddy Roach, and Ulf Wegner.

And in Moorer's next fight, he was brutally KOed by Foreman when Teddy distracted him by yelling.

This is what happens to Teddy Atlas-trained boxers:
