He didn't smile at Castillo. Margarito isn't quite that good but his size and activity makes up for what skills Castillo has over him. Floyd would have been in for a rough night against Margarito, even if he won.

      2. Hearns' style is all wrong. I think that Mayweather could be the better fighter but Hearns' jab would light Mayweather up. It's so awkward and it comes out at exactly the wrong time. Mayweather wouldn't be able to time it and by the time he adjusted, he'd already be eating through a straw after a right hand landed.
      3. Yes it would. But Sweet Pea would outslick him, I think. That one's close.
      4. Oh please.
How right you are. That was their first fight. I remember seeing it at the time and thinking that Robinson had won. Basilio was one tough guy, and pretty good. I see no difference in the way that they fought compared to today except that they threw far more punches, with far greater variety, and in MY opinuon were far toughter. That was a 15 rd fight, and both of those guys would eat Mayweather up. He wouldn't be able to stand the punishment, as they were by no means "slow" and came to fight. Fighters don't do that today.

He'd NEVER ever get in the ring with either of them. That was a middleweight fight both ex welter champs.

not entertaining the Margarito argument anymore, Floyd would have no trouble with Margarito. period.

He has never seen pressure like Margarito brought on Cotto. That was one of the greatest performances of all time, no exaggeration.

I'm not saying it's a guaranteed win for Margarito. Floyd could win. He's clearly the superior fighter. But the style matchup is all wrong for Floyd. Will you at least admit that Margarito would definitely make him uncomfortable?

floyd has never seen wreckless agression?that was not a great performance by margarito it was a bad performance by cotto.i find it funny that for some reason the man who has only 1 big win his career which is somewhat tainted is thought to be able to beat the best fighter of this era.
the only fighters that i think could probably beat floyd are
                ray leonard
                ray robinson
                tommy hearns
i don't believe a fighter like armstrong or duran could do anything with floyd

margarito is a ****** fighter that expects to out tough his opponents, floyd mayweather is a nightmare match up for margarito he would pick margarito apart and possibly stop him if margarito was a smartt pressure fighter than it would be a different story but he's not

Very, very few have seen aggression on that kind of scale. Margarito was fighting like a flyweight, but throwing middleweight bombs. It wasn't a technical masterpiece but just an awesome display of determination and grit. That's like saying Jake LaMotta wouldn't win fights, his opponents would lose them. Cotto looked spectacular against Margarito, it just wasn't enough.

cotto was back peddling the whole fight and looked to counter off the ropes the entire fight do you think backing up and layin on the ropes was a good gameplan for a fighter like cotto to use against a fighter like margarito?margarito is such a bum that even with cotto usin the worst gameplan against margarito he still looked spectacular.how many fighters could have a bad gmae plan against floyd, pacquiao, cotto, martinez, hopkins, mosley or marquez and look spectacular?
