    Forrest vs Mayweather at 147

This fight has been talked about before in some threads but I haven't ever seen a poll. I think Vernon could have given mayweather hell, not sure he would win but definitely one of the most competitive fights you would see mayweather in. Forrest dominated mosley twice but struggled against quartey at 154. Both fast shorter guys albeit different from mayweather. How do you see this one going?

Roger Mayweather gave Vernon mad props but mentally I wasnt impressed after what Mayagora was able to do to him and Mora also. He had some advantages but no more than what N'DOU had or Corrales had. I think Floyd could time his Jab and counter him all night. I can see a late stoppage on Floyd's part because of Forrest being frustrated. Mosley wasnt a good boxer, but a great fighter. If you get what I mean. Floyd will make you shift your feet and readjust to much for you to become comfortable and if your stamina is questionable. You want win. Vernon had a good Jab but only if you lgot caught at the end of it. Sorry Vernon. RIP........................

I think you underestimate him a little, mayorga and mora are not the same style as mayweather, I know that is probably obvious to you, but needs to be mentioned anyhow. Forrest was a better boxer and had more tools than phillip n'dou (wtf?) and even corrales who has a surprisingly short reach for a tall fighter and never fought tall anyway. This guy was an olympic silver medalist and could box and fight and knew how to fight speed. I am not saying he would win but he certainly makes a compelling case.

The thing that makes mayweather the best is his consistency he always finds a way, forrest wasn't like that as we all know his level of performance fluctuated, but for a fight like mayweather I think he could rise to the occasion, huge fight, a style he likes to fight, those kinds of things can give a little edge and confidence.

Forrest had the style to give Mayweather hell, if not beat him.

Got forrest, i still believe he would be the only fighter to beat a prime Mayweather at 147 if they had ever meet.
