Victor Ortiz ranked #5 by the WBC at 147.

Here's one that makes zero sense: Victor Ortiz, off a draw at 140, is suddenly ranked 5th at 147. Yeah, that makes sense. #wbcishorrible

The lovely WBC at least finally dropped Erik Morales as No. 1 at 140, but that is only because he is apparently fighting a WBA fight.

Most of the same garbage still in place from last month's WBC ranks -- Chavez No. 1 at 160, Pavlik No. 1 at 168.

Let's see if I have this right: Victor Ortiz, off draw vs Lamont Peterson, is 5th at 147 but Peterson is all the way down at 20 at 140. OK.

              WHy is this newsworthy?

              Here's the headline.

              "CORRUPT ORGANIZATION REMAINS CORRUPT"

Honestly, I don't even worry about ANY of the sanctioning bodies. The best we have is The Ring Magazine. If you follow anything else, you're begging for a headache.

Lovely WBC has ONLY five Emeritus Champions out of the 17 weight classes. They're are slacking! #wbcishorrible

But at least the lovely WBC has 12 Silver Champions in the 17 divisions!! Whew. #wbcishorrible

Where was he ranked at 140 by the WBC, usually if a guy jumps a class they kind of keep him where he is fairly or unfaily.

But yea I don't find this surprising at all, especially since the guy he is suppose to be facing is the WBC champ.
