He also says Lee s always on the boxing panel on RTE as he is highly respected since his amateurs days when he went to the olympics and won a few medal at big tournaments.

He reckons willie casey is a mickey mouse fighter who get an easy world title shot and it is not deserved because he has only beaten irish and british level scrubs.

Not gonna argue with that (except he's fighting for an interim belt not a real one). RTE should pick it up though, even though their budget has been stripped due to gov cutbacks, Casey's team said they'd give them the fight for free cos they want it on tv, its in Dublin so they wont have to pay much to get a tv camera team to the venue!

and btw, rte arent showing Lee v McEwan. Boxing on rte might well be a thing of the past. Im not saying that were incorrect about Lee's popularity, Im saying RTE no longer has a budget for boxing. They still might not show the Casey fght even though they have been offered it for free.

Setanta Ireland will have to pick up the boxing from now on

I think it's going to be a good fast paced boxing match. Not a brutal type war you would expect with an Irishman.
