Top Rank's plan is Marquez in the fall, Bradley next spring.

If Cotto gets by Marg I'd say he should get another shot at Pac if Mayweather can't be made. He would redeem one loss, why not at least give him a chance at the other, it'll make both guys a ton of money and be more competitive than the first fight though I doubt Cotto would win. Pac/JMM shouldn't even be made at any weight I feel, Manny wipes the floor with him. Its not steroids Manny simply got better and Marquez has gotten worse, if he went life and death with Diaz for 9 rounds and a lightweight dropped him on his ass Manny is going to end his career.

Never understood why everyone writes Cotto off if he were to fight Sergio. Martinez has been hit alot in all of his fights, including against Pavlik. And Cotto has showed time and time again he can outbox good boxers and overcome speed.

Martinez would be favored in the fight, but absolutely no way? Come on, Cotto's two losses were against fighters with completely different styles.

I dont get all the gay ass haters *****en about the 147/140.

Pacquiao will always weigh around 147 and JMM at around 144 during the fight night.

If he wants to stay at 147 he has the full right who the fawk are u to tell him to go up or down. This also applies to any fighters out there

Its not like he is begging for the fight for JMM- theres other options for him BERTA/Bradley/Khan/Ortiz and etc.

Its the same lame ass h0m0s wanting him to fight bigger guys at 154 when those guys blown up to 167+ at fight night like its easy to do.

Of course there's always a CHANCE in boxing. But come on, what has Cotto shown you that makes you think he could beat Martinez? Martinez beats people up. Just like he will against Dzinziruk this weekend. Mark my words.

i had no prob with Pac-JMM at 147, they're both blown up featherweights anyway

it doesn't matter what division they fight, JMM would still pose problems for Pac stylistically

only difference is Pac can carry his power at 147 while JMM cannot, however that doesn't mean that JMM would lose to any 147 fighter today

but then again, JMM has tasted Pac's power at least in lower weights but still got up & won rounds against him

Its not even about what Cotto can do, its about what Martinez cannot do. The guy just isn't a very good boxer, period. He's far better than Williams its why he won and why people like myself have stated this has been coming to Williams for a long time. With Pavlik he was turning the fight in his favor by OUTBOXING Martinez until his cut, then after the fight we find out he's a raging alcoholic.

Also, Cotto would be the faster guy in this fight, though he'd be giving up power. But all I need to say is watch the Quintana fight, its almost a mirror image of what would happen in this fight. A back peddling southpaw who drops his hands constantly (Sergio at least) which leaves the door open for Cotto's jab. Both guys lean over to their right and they get put directly into Cotto's left hook, especially if he feints a jab. I mean come on guys, Sergio's been fighting since he was 20 or 22, Cotto's been fighting since he's 12 the experience, technique, speed and footwork is all Cotto. At 155 I would favor Cotto in this fight, if it was at 160 I'd have to go with Sergio even though he won't be overwhelmed with punches I don't think Cotto is going to be taking punches from Sergio he may go backwards but dood hits hard.
