I wasn't quite ready to hand Mayweather ATG credentials until the Mosley bout. I believed Floyd was a great fighter - undefeated through four divisions - but had a solid at best resume at 140 and 147. ATG? I didn't agree. I was surprised and impressed when he agreed to fight Mosley who was, at the time, the biggest threat in the division not named Pacquiao. Taking on that threat, and then dominating, was pretty impressive at this stage of his career. If he does nothing else, he is an ATG to me. I wouldn't rate him higher than Roy or Manny, but he's accomplished quite a bit and never lost. Rate that how you wish but, for me, the Mosley fight pushed him to that category.

        Floyd is an ATG,
Ask any boxer in the game and they'll tell you the same.
They'll tell you he better than the rest.

He is a true artist in the ring. I could care less what you guys think. This is what I think.

I can certainly attest to that, because that is what we used to argue about lol.

Hell yeah lol. You know, I can't be mad at Floyd. He fooled me. At the time, I didn't imagine him getting in the ring with Mosley no way, no how. No other fighter wanted to get in the ring with that dude after he shattered Margarito. Maybe Paul Williams, but that's about it. And I definitely didn't think Mayweather was going to do it. And I didn't think he could beat him either. But to turn around and take that fight - while Manny was fighting Clottey - that was big. And then to dominate? Yeah man, I can't argue with you anymore lol.

Yeah, I forget that fifth division. Probably because they invented a title for that one.
