The blown up 140,147 pound thing is a little weak considering that canelo was being pushed to fight at welterweight for the longest time hence the catchweights, it's obvious that his body isn't gonna allow him to do that so they gave up on that big deal.

And how is fighting a Ouma who was 1-5 in his last 6 fights going into the Vanes fight any more crediable than fighting an old former undisputed champion?

Im not saying that Canelo or Vanes have these stunning resumes or anything but when you look at a couple facts 1. Vanes is 5 years older and 2. Vanes had all kinds of Amature experience then it's a little sad that a 20 year old with no amature experience basically has the same resume as you.

So my question is when you look at those facts whos really being pushing themselves in the pro ranks? Who is more advanced at this stage of their careers?
i'm not criticizing saul. nor am i saying vanes resume is impressive.

but vanes has a better resume. as you said saul was fighting 140-147 fighters.

vanes has been fighting 154 fighters. no greats or nothing but 154 former contenders and fringe contenders. guys he's fighting are guys who have fought guys like angulo , bunema , karmazin , etc. they are much more credible 154 opponents.

as far as ouma vs. baldomir. neither guy has been winning any big fights lately. but i think the 31 yr. former 154 champ who challenged for a 160 title is a more credible opponent than the 39 yr. old former 147 champ who challenged for a 154 title.

vanes is in the same division as canelo and has fought the more credible 154 opponents. he's entitled to have his opinion on canelo. sourg****s for sure but he's entitled to them.

Vanes has been in the junior middleweight division his whole professional career theirfor explains the more credible 154 fighters. but only 154 fighters...not overall fighters.

vanes resume is not impressive....he has Tsurkan and Ouma...I can't really find any other credible names in it.

And i can honestly say Saul Alvarez has a more impressive resume. Their is no comparison.
never said vanes has an impressive resume.

and no alvarez resume isn't any more impressive.

He's entitled to an opinion but I don't have to take it seriously either. Angulo on the other hand is definatly a fighter that should have beef with the WBC giving the title away. Hell it's not like Angulo is some nobody, he's fought on HBO for years now and has made a lot of his own fans in the process. HBO and WBC shafted him after the whole Immigration issues and it's sad because i really fell he is the only fighter that has a right to complain and you know what he hasn't. I hope he stays classy about it.
