And dont get confused I am not saying canelo is a world beater or anything just giving you something to think about. Because if vanes could sell tickets the way canelo does trust me the criticism thrown at vanes would be a hundred times greater.
if you don't know then maybe you should look it up before you talk.

kassim ouma has a little bit of world title experience. just a touch.

i suggest you look over vanes and alvarez resumes again.

yeah canelo's opponents might have a little bit more name recognition because of their last names (their brother's) and baldomir's.

but vanes opponents are/were more credible 154 fighters.

go ahead. look up vanes last few opponents. see who those guys fought before they fought vanes. it might surprise you.

just because you don't know them doesn't mean they weren't more credible 154 opponents. good thing about them is they were 154 fighters. not blown up 140 , 147 fighters.

Their are questions of who Saul Alvarez is ganna fight next....He just won the belt. Sit back and relax. Saul is the WBC champ and he will fight in June against.....sit back and relax and wait and see.

He has already showed interest in fighting Miguel Cotto or Sugar shane Moseley. Trust me when i say this kid will not be protected. He will fight all comers. But a Vanes? please... He's not HBO worthy and can barely get ESPN2 dates. He should worry about his performances instead of worrying who the ginger kid fights next.

Vanes vs Alvarez is a decent fight, and Vanes is top 5 ranked by the WBC, so he fits Alvarez's criteria.

            I say make it happen.
vanes would be a step up for canelo.

but of course if you listen to some of these guys vanes ain't ****.

which is funny because vanes would be the toughest opponent canelo has faced if it happens.

aside from 40 yr. old baldomir of course.

Not saying Canelo has the better resume just saying they are about even.

The blown up 140,147 pound thing is a little weak considering that canelo was being pushed to fight at welterweight for the longest time hence the catchweights, it's obvious that his body isn't gonna allow him to do that so they gave up on that big deal.

And how is fighting a Ouma who was 1-5 in his last 6 fights going into the Vanes fight any more crediable than fighting an old former undisputed champion?

Im not saying that Canelo or Vanes have these stunning resumes or anything but when you look at a couple facts 1. Vanes is 5 years older and 2. Vanes had all kinds of Amature experience then it's a little sad that a 20 year old with no amature experience basically has the same resume as you.

So my question is when you look at those facts whos really being pushing themselves in the pro ranks? Who is more advanced at this stage of their careers?

and ur right my problem is with gbp, they made canelo champion, and by theory he's gonna have to fight the best in the division, and until he faces someone with an actual chance of beating him, many people will look at him as a guy who hasn't fought anyone even if he's the champ...

My point is ,,, Canelo has skills and could be a great fighter but not yet,,, let's not get over excited with him until he starts beating the top guys

And I'm not getting excited just yet! i know he still has a lot to work on but lets call it what this is. GB made him champion to make him more marketable the end. They are gonna move him up on their timetable and considering how much money is in this kid right now i don't blame them but trust me hes gonna have to put up or shut up eventually.

Alvarez won the fight, by unanimous decision, last Saturday in Anaheim, California.

You are correct when you say Ouma has Wrold class experience. But how well did he do against him? I had him losing...can you honestly tell me you had him winning?

Vanes has been in the junior middleweight division his whole professional career theirfor explains the more credible 154 fighters. but only 154 fighters...not overall fighters.

vanes resume is not impressive....he has Tsurkan and Ouma...I can't really find any other credible names in it.

And i can honestly say Saul Alvarez has a more impressive resume. Their is no comparison.
