Vanes and Rhodes should both sue WBC for being passed up for the shot at the belt vs Canelo. Bitsh Sulaiman claimed none of the top 10 wbc contenders were available and that he approached all of them before deciding on hatton. Well that was BS and Vanes and Rhodes both came out publicly and denied ever being approached for the fight, let alone turned it down... to shut vanes up sulaiman approved vanes vs roman and that fight was approved for the silver wbc belt which would also mean the winner is the mandatory to Canelo... This is BULLCRAP.. someone said it already, WBC gave their belt away to Canelo fighting a natural 147 pounder, and now they want this four boxers, who are all better than Canelo to duke it out in order to get a shot at the title... i say all these boxers, say ****kk the wbc and their belt and not give a shot to Canelo to fight to starve the WBC... and at the same time sue the WBC and get another large judgement against them like that one guy did in the 90's, for which the wbc is still paying today...

Well Angulo and Williams are 100% likely to be fighing each other for the shot at the title so what the *** are you complaining sinceyou think either one of these fighters would beat canelo. Last time I checked, this is exactly what Floyd Mayweather was criticized for. Sitting back, letting everybody fight each other, and then fighting the guy that came out on top of the scrap heap and calling himself the best for doing that.

Thats what I was thinking imagine Williams against Angulo that would be a war. It doesn't seem fair that guys like those 2 would have to fight for a shot at the belt while Canelo was handed his title but its not Canelos fault.

it's probably not fair but thats how it is,another thing those guys can do,if they think it's not fair don't participate in the tournament and ask for a shot at the title,a guy like rhodes can do that,he's due for his title opportunity,it's not like canelo where he wasn't going to say no to the title fight,rhodes can say no to the tournament and ask to be given the fight with canelo,after all thats what every fighter wants to become champion and rhodes doesn't have to go through a series of fights to get his opportunity,but in a way i would like to see vanes,williams,angulo,those are good fights

Rhodes will probably end up fighting Canelo in June, Vanes you can forget about it because of the Top Rank Golden Boy fued..Vanes should try to land a fight with Williams or Angulo

cotto is fighting margarito in the summer...he's ranked. dzinziruk has defended against joel julio who was ranked #1 by the WBO at that time and he beat santos as well. k9 is fighting lara who is ranked and beat spinks legitimately. the only one missing accomplished opponents is canelo. panda's not blaming him for it seeing as just a few months ago he was looking to drop down to welterweight to challenge zaveck. he's new to the division but he has to fight better fighters at this point

jennings was ranked #1 by the WBO for over a year, not to mention cotto tried to unify with IBF champ clottey next. so no that wasnt a free title shot

I agree yes he should step up his compatition not arguing that but if he isn't fighting the Number 1 guy in the division 2 months from now that fine to. he's stuill learning and he will get there eventually but it seems that people are criticizing him becasue he isn't doing it now now now. Sorry but the belt doesn't change the fact that he is still being worked up to a major fight just like anypther 20 year old.


But as far as jennings being number 1 come on. We all knew he was a protected european fighter that had nothing of note on his resume and hasn't done anything since. Thats great what cotto did after but what did Cotto do to get that title shot other than getting knocked out in his previous fight. The title was handed to him hell HBO rejected the ***ing fight for a reason.

Suliamains trying to make it look fairer this way, but it just makes the wbc look even more corrupt. They made it so easy for canelo to win the belt, but for the other contenders its made even harder by having to fight each other with the honour of facing him. Why the **** has the kid even got the belt in the first place? It should be the other way round!

Exactly. And Sulaiman knows that this tournament can't just be made like that. Who is coming up with the money? In this way Mexican Boxing Council simply keeps Alvarez clear of the four most obvious challengers for a long time coming.

Or Cotto fight for a vacant title and defended it vs clottey and pacquiao. Or Cotto vs quintana for a vacant tile and then defending it Juda and mosley. he always ****s on Cotto for the vacant titles.

tying up the top contenders in an elimination is a crock of crap!
#1 contender should get a shot esp. since hatton wasnt even ranked at 154
then #2,#3,#4,#5 cam fight in the meantime for right to challenge the champ if #1 gets beat. this is how things should work.

wbc & gbp clearly trying to find ways of giving him an easy time for a while.....a champion should seek challenges, not seek ways to avoid them.
