But when you can't fully rehydrate until 3pm on the day of a fight, how can you expect to perform at your best? The whole fight was pretty soft looking with the exception of the early first 2 rounds when Alvarez was smacking Hatton across the ring. Fight looked like it was going to get stopped within a few rounds, but Alvarez fatigued early and with his strength gone, his youth was the only thing behind his performance for the most part.
That said, even when Alvarez is able to perform at his best he's a solid fighter at best. Definitely a contender. But if he can't fix his weight issues he's not going to be able to perform to his strengths at all.
Goldenboy is just hyping this kid to no end because they're desperate and they're still new to the boxing game. They're making themselves look ****** because they don't know how to move their product (fighters). You have to learn to crawl before you can walk etc etc. You can't just jump in the fight game cause you can buy every thing you need. You have to know how to bring these men up properly.Comment

If anything you give a KO waiting to happen in Matthew Hatton, to a guy who will look amazing against him and that would have been for Victor Ortiz's 147 debut.

The guy who wrote this article "johnny gonzalers" is a lie'ing bastard of a reporter, watch the entire post press conference, when mathew was asked about saul alveraz gave high praise but this ***** reporter gets few words from post fight media conference , twist n turns and amplifies those words to make it sound like mathew hatton was degrading and dissing saul. WHEN WAS THE OPPOSITE.
i ask people to watch video of alveraz-hatton press conference video, then read this attention seeking whores article, and see how a zillion miles they're apart.

hatton is so ugly and hard to look at it is sickening. Just aterrible fighter hatton is ano talent. it looked like Alvarez was fighting some maniac freak pasty pale frightening and scary ugly hatton is. Hatton is a sparring partner and a no talent joke. disgraceful.Comment

LOL, he did look like powder.... But he took his beating like a man. Unlike alot of fighters out there cough Ortiz...I had forgotten that he had trouble making weight which explains him being gassed out in rd 8. Hatton took some vicious body shots, vicious. One of them actually made me cringe. We can't blamw the kid though, he is being pushed by a maniac(DKH). I think delafishnets wants to cash out on a boxer the way that Arum did with him. Oh and to the poster that stated that GBP knows money not boxing? Boxing is their money. They just toy with us because they know we will pay for whatever fight they put. Because we are fansComment

first, the dude fought his butt off giving up many advantages such as 20 lbs
secondly, dude was getting hammered many different times throughout
the fight and never once gave up.
