Respected the effort and he seems to live for boxing but the reality is if not for his brother he would have never gotten the pay day. The fact that this fight was for a belt is embarrasing.

Yeah. He also got stopped in 2 rounds by David Keir. A guy who retired with a 4-6 record.

As recently as 2 fights ago was dropped by Yuriy Nuzhenko, a guy with a 40% KO ratio fighting bums his entire career.

Ricky fought and beat better, stronger and faster fighters in 1 year than Matthew Hatton has in his entire career. And was stopped by only Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacqiauo.

Put Matthew Hatton in the ring with either of those 2 and see if he goes 12 rounds.

Not only that but Ricky gets hit literally about 10x more than Matthew does.

To even contemplate Matthew Hatton's chin is better than Ricky Hatton's is utterly preposterous and tells me you have clearly, seen very little of either fighters career.

Some fighters come back from losses to better fighters and become a little better at what they do and keep winning. Most fighters fade and disappear after a while under the same circumstances.

I could tell Matt's conditioning was top notch because he swallowed numerous huge bombs and didn't fall or wobble back to his corner at any time during the fight. He even looked like he could go a few more rounds during the post fight interview.

I'd say if he doesn't improve his defense and continues winning, he'll be relegated to journeyman status who'll be contracted to put on a good show every once in a while.

That said, he performed well against Canelo and should feel proud.

Did you see those shots that Matt ate,Ricky never took on a barrage like that in his career.

Yes I saw that. Like I said, I also saw him get stopped by David Keir and recently dropped by Yuriy Nuzhenko. And stunned numerous times.

I saw Ricky Hatton get consistently hit by Urango, Collazo, Tszyu, Lazcano and never get dropped. All guys that are better, stronger and probably hit harder than anyone Matthew Hatton has fought up till last saturday.

On top of that, as I've already mentioned, Ricky gets hit alottttt more than Matthew does.

Like I said, Ricky's chin is clearly better than Matthews. To even contemplate otherwise tells me you have evidently followed very little of either career.

                  hell yeah!
i was yelling at him to stay down when he took a knee.
i was almost in tears towards end.

jeez. post fight i thought he'd be like a stroke victum all crosseyed, slobbering and talking out the side of his mouth.

but there he was post fight interview. bright eyed. talking matter of factly.
no worse for the wear. counting the ways he's going to spend the extra $110K weight windfall.

he's gotta be pissing blood for a week after that beating!
i tell you. i'm going to be watching his next bout to see if he left anything in the ring!

If matty hatton was american all the dumb yank fans would be on here singing his praises for bringing the fight and being a warrior against someone bigger and better than him,but because hes british everyones just calling him a bum,its really funny considering american boxing is built on running and holding these days

Props too TS for being a real boxing fan
