Well from what I have seen PLENTY of Mexicans love Canelo. The biggest group of people that hype this kidd is Mexicans. Now some Mexicans don't like him and iyts because he is either a hype job in their opinions or becsuse he is a goodlooking kid. Aside from Oscar being American born, I always thought Mexicans didn't love him because he was a pretty boy. Mexicans like that rugged type of guy.

I don't dislike him personally but I don't like him yet as a fighter. I'm very happy for him that he's making serious $$$ but he's world champion now and he needs to fight the best. I have to say that I'm embarrassed that he's unproven and hyped the way that he is and that he got an undeserved shot at a strap. Best of luck to him though and all the Latinos.

haha, what? mexicans are the main people supporting him. he represents a bright future for mexican boxing, non mexicans are the ones saying he is a hypejob and a bum. he has still yet to be proven to be the real deal, though, since his few recent performances against not so great opposition have been mediocre.
