The streak for Wlad is over - I hope I'm wrong come fight night

I've been an avid fan of Wladimir since I first saw him fight against Axel Schulz back in 1999. The long, fast, accurate and powerful jab, together with that sledgehammer right... I stayed with him after heavy and deserved losses against Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster in 2003 and 2004. I think David Haye will stop the winning streak of one my favorite heavyweigt boxers (albeit somewhat boring and awkward), however.
Haye is too fast and has power and he will come to fight.
Everyone has his own opinion. I hope I'm wrong come fight night.

And Haye has shown no evidence at Heavyweight that he can negate a world class jab. He avoided Valuev's painfully slow jab only by running for the entire fight, and by throwing fewer punches of his own than any Heavyweight in a title fight in living memory. He wasn't able to avoid Ruiz's jab at all. So unless Wlad gets complacent, I don't see any objective reason for giving Haye a serious chance. If you do, I'd like to hear a proper analysis of why you do, instead of simplistic statements about his power and speed.

Anyone who is halfway honest and has watched both men fight knows that the analysis for this fight is simple and straight forward.

Haye's defense is putrid, his hands at his hips style a bad habit from years of fighting overmatched opponents who had no ability to take advantage of the sloppy, arrogant "style".

Furthermore, the people who claim Haye has "speed" are blinded from the fact that his footwork is well below average for a world class fighter. He does not have the ability to use deft footwork to avoid punches so when he needs to avoid them he simply runs. He crosses his feet quite often, which is a habit many amateurs get past within 2 years. He also falls in with his right hand and often finds himself off balance.

Klitschko on the other hand maximizes his speed and distance advantages with precision footwork and an outstanding sense of balance. He is always in position to throw a knockout punch with his balance centered and his feet firmly beneath him.

Haye's perceived advantages in this contest are nonsense. His sloppy habits and careless approach are not something that will disappear overnight.

Klitschko has not faced an opponent in a long time with a defense as leaky as Haye's. On the other hand Haye has never faced an opponent with a defense as tight and well trained as Wladimirs.

As you stated, Haye cannot get out of the way of even a mediocre jab, and he is about to step in the ring with a man who has a jab that certainly ranks in the Top-10 and most likely Top-5 all time at the Heavyweight Level.

at least the majority can see that haye will win

        haye is quicker

        stronger

        more athletic

        is quicker in and out

        has better foot movement

        better hand speed

        and so much more

this is going to be one sided beat down of wlad

          How many?

And how many tall euros has he eaten, this moron? He landed 1 (one) good punch on Valuev. The rest of your opponents were Afros and one Latio way over the hill all of them... Tool

I have a really hard time believing that the man who ran from Valuev for 12 rounds is somehow going to stand toe-to-toe with Wlad Klitshcko. And if he does decide to even ATTEMPT that, it's going to be lights out. Haye's got a shaky chin himself, and he's never felt anything NEAR Wlad's power. Easy night's work for Wlad. Wlad knows it, Haye knows it, everyone knows it. Haye's just trying to talk trash to cash out with as much money as possible. He's backed himself into a corner, and the only way he can save face is to fight Wlad. And if and when he does, he's going to get beat up badly. I picture it going along the lines of the second Byrd fight, if not worse. If Haye opens up, and tries to get inside, he's going to get hurt.

Look here, sicko. Haye may be quicker and more athletic, but don't forget that taller guys need less movement in order to cover the same distance(footwork). Wladimir may not be the quickest puncher, but he sure is quite a bit quicker than Valuev. He is also fairly athletic himself, and is in great shape. So, Wladimir isn't just a smaller version of Valuev. No, it won't be a walk in the park for Haye. One thing Haye seems to have gotten wrong - while Wladimir may not be the fighter that likes to fight the most, he seems to want to fight Haye, as evidenced by the video he has made, and the fact that there are even talks of this fight happening(he could have re-scheduled the Chisora fight). Having said that, I do predict a very competitive fight, while it lasts, as both seem to be able to KO the other comparatively easily, with a good shot(or at least start the punishment leading to a KO).

Lets just hope this finally gets done(and we actually see both in the same ring, actually fighting)

Couldn't agree more with this analysis. Haye has mediocre defence, and an old Ruiz was establishing his jab against him, so there is no reason why Wladimar will be unable to establish his jab.

Haye will get exploited for his habits. Steward is one of the best trainers in the world... Without a doubt, he has already found many flaws with Haye game.

Haye can get wild in the ring, I think it may just cost him the fight.

people using ruiz as a benchmark dont know boxing. the fact haye went out to ko him early on meant he was obviously open. with no sparring he had to go for broke and dominated the fight. against wlad haye will stay at a distance and wait for wlad to throw that jab, he will then get in quick and knock him out

quote me please, it will happen
