This is back 2 back showings by Roy where he was on the God juice. It's fine that he loves the man upstairs and has strong faith but HBO really needs to tell him to simmer it a bit. He's doing a good job, most fans like what he brings to the telecast but we're here to talk boxing, not have Roy's beliefs shoved down our throats.
RJJ and God.

I guess I can understand and Jones probably saw him visions of god after getting brutally ko'ed a couple of times.
I think events like that have brought him closer to god, and he feels the need to tell everyone about it.
I think Jones is a really good color commentator. I can live with a few god comments here and there.Comment

In what professional sport do you have professional commentators continue to drill in the theory of God giving an athlete skills? It's unprofessional for Roy to continue to do it. He gets paid to give his opinion but to constantly harp on one thing, that's not doing your job. He's clearly pushing his beliefs and has an agenda behind what he preaches. If he wants to do that stuff, do it around your family and loved ones. There's no room for that kind of stuff at any time in sports. I say this as a man that believes in God and a Catholic.Comment
