Exactly. The fight I saw did not have Jose Miguel getting killed. It was my first full Canelo fight and I was surprised at how easily he was getting hit by Cotto. He was hurt several times.

Has Cotto not been knocked out by smaller fighters. Hell, he's even been knocked down by guys like Ricardo Torres and didn't finish off a feather-fisted Maliginaggi. I'm not saying that Canelo wins, because at this point in his career I don't think Canelo would beat Cotto... But what's the point of nit-picking 1 round for when Canelo went on to win anyway?

In 2 or 3 years Cotto will be retired. As of right now as partially shot as Cotto is he would still destroy Alvarez. Canelo got stunned by a small 140 in Jose Cotto, what makes you think he's going to handle the power of an accurate super welterweight.

Right now I just don't see Canelo beating any elite 154 pounder. Golden Boy shouldn't try to do what Main Events did to Vargas.
