Cotto is a vet and I wouldn't say that Canelo beats him. I do think he has the tools to beat him though and the style.

He's also strong, has a great body attack, punches in combinations and can force Cotto going backwards which we know is his weakness.

He doesn't beat Cotto now but Cotto doesn't want to see this kid 2 years down the line, I can guarantee that.

Canelo didn't impress me much in his fight against Hatton. He needs to improve his defense. Canelo will continue to improve but I don't think he can beat Cotto in two years. Unless Cotto is shot and at a journeyman level in two years.
