  • Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Gives His Take on Alvarez's Weight Failure

Oscar De La Hoya, promoter for unbeaten Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (35-0-1, 26 KOs), was calm when discussing his boxer's recent failure to make weight. Later tonight, Alvarez is scheduled to face Matthew Hatton (41-4-2, 16 KOs) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The bout, agreed upon for a catchweight of 150-pounds, will have the vacant WBC junior middleweight title on the line.

i so want this kid to get beat. sick of hearing ODLH and jose licking his ginger rim.
when he grows up he might realise that professionals do what they are supposed to do and MAKE WEIGHT.

Everytime Oscar opens his mouth, he just proves how ****** he is. The guy just doesn't know how to sell a fight or make believable excuses. Canelo came in over weight because "he's growing"?! Does he really believe people will buy that? It's just too funny!

So because Canelo "is growing" its okay for him to not make weight? Is Gay la hoya serious? 70K isn't **** to Alvarez, they should have higher penalties to prevent one boxer from getting a advantage against another.
