I guess I can see why British fighters continue to be overprotected bums

You're bashing them cuz' they're British lets not backtrack here...You should have done that **** pages ago.

Guys like Khan, Brook, and DeGale are very talented. Say what you want about Haye he's very talented.

Talent wise they're not shit fighters. They're talented fighters.

Froch might not be talented, stylistically wise and fundamentally wise, he might come off a "shit fighter"(I do disagree with that though), he has the intangibles to make him not only a damn good fighter but a though out. And, he's willing to back it up and prove it in the ring. That's what every fan should want in a fighter. And, he wouldn't get this far if he was a "shit fighter." Because, he's far from protected. If he was a shit fighter he would have been exposed by now. No one has done that yet. He has lost. But, not exposed as a **** fighter. And, the reason is because, he's far from being a shit fighter.

Did Lennox ever reside in Jamaica? Either way I agree he is British and he is one of their very very few greats. Ali was born and raise in Louisville so he is in no way African.

          It comes down to this...........

People on this forum will discredit and degrade countries, genders, individuals and even other posters with such vileness and that's all cool.

But when in a public forum fighters are being discredited and degraded, that is where I gotta say something.

The British have sold out arenas and halls supporting their local fighters. These young men are in the ring warring, for something, for some kind of recognition with the heart that knows they belong.

These fighters that you refer to as bums are stolid young warriors learning their trade. The men who fight above them trained in a fashion of blood shed and concusion. They have put in the hard work that it takes, some easier than others but none the less the work has been put in.

If you had a job that sent you home after a good day with bruises under your eyes and a nose that is still bleeding I highly doubt that most would have that job long or even show up again the next day to do it all again.
These men have done that and with it's repetition have become skilled fist fighters. I would venture to guess that it's a place where fathers pass they're tricks down to their sons. I wonder, what percent of British houses contain a set of boxing gloves compared to American households. (A set consisting of 4 gloves.)

America has been a hot bed for boxing for some time now. If you were to look around yourself you would notice that the boxing landscape has been changing. The British heavyweight prospects and recent champion. They have noteable prospects scattered through the remaining divisions. The British are here and always have been. In the sold out crowds their chants and chorus fill the arena with energy and pride rooting for the hometown boy. Their fighters battle it out under the lights and their young men learn their trades. Doesn't sound bad to me............Rockin'

After the US, Mexico and arguably Puerto Rico, Britain has produced more world champions, more Hall of Famers, and more ATGs than any other country. Given the size of its population, being the #4 boxing nation in the world is pretty good. So you're talking absolute twaddle, and that's not opinion, it's fact.

No, Lewis has never resided in Jamaica, so he is no more Jamaican that Ali is African - in both cases, their only link to the country concerned is ethnic.

British fighters > White Americans (like the the thread starter)

not that it matters what your nationality or race is.

If I could be a shit fighter, never have to face any real competition, always stay and fight out of my hometown or area, and make a lot of money doing it I would. Most the fights I have seen from Great Britain are a couple of bums no one besides biased brits have heard of, fighting in front of packed stadiums and make good money doing it. Really it's the perfect way to make a living;being protected so no one will find out how bad of a fighter you are and make a load of money in the process and trick your biased countrymen into claiming you as a great fighter. Lucky for them they don't have to earn their way up to good paychecks like real fighters do. God it would suck to be a british boxing fan though

Its easier being a big fish in a small pond, rather than a small fish in a big pond.
