its also when you put all your skills together and go beyond whats expected. this guy wan't quick...so people automatically were writing him off. the kid is fkn 20. he's nowhere near his peak. i aint saying he's God's gift to boxing but I am saying he's gonna show how much he's improved in this fight. plain and simple. nothing else.

Hatton is not very good, but hes not much worse than Senchenko, the WBA welterweight champ.

What I like about Alvarez is that he is progressing and growing every fight...ever since the Cotto fight his right hand has been glued to his jaw, for example. If you keep getting better every fight, then eventually youre going to be pretty damn awesome.

hopefully he stays on this track and continues to get better and better.

beating ricky's brother at 154 is not a statement, its expected. if canelo don't ko him within 5 rounds then he is what he is, another hbo hype job.

And he's expected to beat him easily, hence him being the 12-1 favorite.

How can anyone make a statement fighting Matthew Hatton.

And... if they did what statement would it be?

I can beat up overmatched, smaller WWs who no one rates except my promotions company for a joke title that has been gifted to me?
