This is all the more reason I respect Brandon Rios. He didn't go after a sucky fighter for an easy first title like so many of these other upcoming fighters do. Khan, Alvarez, and now Lara. It's sickening man.

I agree,I was not really impress with Lara last fight but the kid is skilled so I'm very interested in this fight..

Tough fight for my boy Alexander though, I like Matthysse also, might be the most underrated fighter at 140 right now

Lara kills K9 though or maybe like everybody else I just refuse to believe that K9 is any good and he will come out and shock people like he did against Spinks...but I doubt it, Lara IMO has what it takes to be a SPECIAL and COMPLETE fighter!

Khan beat Kotelnik for a title. After Kotelnik was coming off a win over the likes of Maidana.

Yes Rios deserve respect. But, Khan didn't fight a sucky fighter to win his title. He won it from a guy who not only was coming off a win over Maidana but then had a great showing against Alexander. And, now Lara, is not going to fight Cotto because of the promotional beef, Alvarez just won a title, and Dzinziruk is fighting Martinez.

I like watching K9 and even though he won a belt, he is just a journeyman who had the right guy on the right night in front of him, Lara should dominate him.
