Berto has some of the fastest hands at Welter, Hard hitting straight right, one of the best undercuts in the game, good accuracy and combos, he's lacks the footwork and defense and loves to **** and stand there and trade, I think after a couple straight rights or uppers Ortiz will mentally give up, he does not like to get hit, if you can't see the natural talent and boxing ability Berto has, well your just a Hater. I would love to watch a Rios-Ortiz fight, those kind of fights were one guy truly hates the other turn out to be awesome. Barrera and Morales truly hated each other and gave boxing fans some of three best fights I have ever seen. Eventually Rios will go up in weight and I hope it gets made...Comment

Ortiz has the physical abilities to be more than a face first fighter who has to rely so much on his ability to get punched over and over and remain standing, i.e. his durability.
There's plenty of successful fighters who don't have the strongest chins in the world that go on to have amazing careers. But the difference between them and Ortiz is that they know/knew how to break their opponent down all while defending themselves properly.
If Ortiz does have problems regarding boxing, it's his boxing intelligence. He doesn't have the ability to adjust and honestly that's part his fault but also the Garcia's fault. They're style isn't exactly about surviving. It's just about offense, offense, and offense.
My prediction for this fight: Ortiz will be game for Berto but Berto's speed and strength is going to exploit the hell out of Ortiz's inability to defend himself. Berto is just a faster version of Maidana. Maidana was able to land his power shots at will on Ortiz. Power leads and counters. So I got Berto by nasty KO or brutal beat down. Also I'd bet Ortiz retires after this fight. Which would be a good idea especially if he has no interest in thinking harder about what he does in the ring.Comment

i know no1 really cares for ortiz anymore and a lot of people are on the rios/garcia bandwaggon but lets be serious....... this mother ****er robert garcia just exposed himself as the ultimate hater. dude said he and his whole family was jumping up and down celebrating when ortiz quit. c'mon now..... ok aint nothing wrong gettin a laugh out of it but damn. this is too much imo.Comment
