In fact, when you analyze all of the 78 heavyweight world champs that lived to date it turns out that Joe Frazier is bottom #8 of featherfistedness.

The BOTTOM featherfists (of all world champs to date) ("Rounds needed per KO in real heavyweight fights") are:
    1) Ernie Terrell
    3) Muhammad Ali
    5) Leon Spinks
    8) Joe Frazier

Please note that Frazier is actually worse than bottom-8 because I included pre-NBA world champs and IBO champs in the calculations. Without these Frazier would be bottom-5.

AND WHAT DO YOU EXPECT when 4 of the most featherfisted featherfists MEET IN THE RING?

    Ali vs Terrell UD15
    Ali vs Frazier RTD14
    Ali vs Frazier UD12
    Ali vs Frazier UD15
    Ali vs Leon Spinks UD15
    Ali vs Leon Spinks SD15

Voila. Windmakers, windmakers, shoe shine combos but no real KOs.

A terrible era for heavyweight fans.

At the very top are the Klitschkos, thus when you talk about Klitschko vs Ali you talk about one of the STRONGEST champs meeting one of the WEAKEST champs.
first of all: this thing about 200lb+ heavyweights is silly. you do realise that the Cruiserweight division used to be 190lb limit, correct?

here are some Ali KOs against top rated guys over 200lbs

honestly. seriously. HOW can you call him featherfisted? quit all this numbers bull****. do you even watch boxing?

youre such a joke. you think that IBO champs hit harder than Frazier and Ali? do you even understand what 'class of opponents' even means?

Its not silly at all, it really makes you question how their career ko%s would have looked if they were fighting 225+lb guys like most HWs today are.

I mean its not their fault they fought in the times they did when many HWs were just barely 200lbs and many in the 190s but I cringe when ppl call Shavers the hardest puncher in history with his resume filled with fighters who are 190lbs and some in the 180s when he himself was barely 200 at his best.

yes, because being heavy automatically makes you hit harder and take a punch better. just like how Buster Douglas' chin became amazingly better after putting on 15lbs, and how Valuev is a huge puncher with his 100lb weight advantage.

who do you think has more KO power? Valuev or Tyson? Valuev weighs 100lbs more than Tyson, after all...
        my money is on Valuev.

It's easy the imagine they would do well based on how they are doing now against who they are fighting. But when you look at the level of competition now you have to rethink it. The seventies had some tremendous punchers and amazing boxers. Something the Klitschkos have not seen in this era.

Its clear he doesnt watch boxing.

He was mortified when you posted a video of Puritty getting KTFO. Boxrec never showed Ross going down so if boxrec doesnt mention it, knn wont know it.

He frames everything around weight, because that is the only way Wlad can look presentable. Wlad's been KOd 3 times by bums. Thats more Ko losses than all these ATGs:

            Ali(1)
            Holyfield(2)
            Lennox(2)
            Louis(2)
            Bowe(0)
            Tunney(0)
            Foreman(1)
            Marciano(0)
            Holmes(1)
            Dempsey(1)
            Jeffries(1)

The only ATGs with more KO losses than Wlad are Jack Johnson and Mike Tyson; and the meat of their kos occurred post 35 years of age. Wlad is 34 years old right now, I doubt the critics will be as forgiving if he accumulates losses post prime.

So...what youre saying is KO's are all that matters. Wlad and Vitali have a higher KO% than all of those bums, therefore, they are the best easily. GREATEST AND MOST ELECTRIFYING OFFENSIVE FIGHTERS OF ALL TIME. Thankyou for proving that.

I'm the hardest hitting southpaw of all time you puzzies, because SteelHammer2011 said so, and Steelhammer knows best.

Moorer's right hand was no joke though...

Nah they would get worn down from the sheer numbers of good prime HW's challenging them.

Your the same guy that *****es about Floyds comp and being overrated in fantasy fights (and theres truth to that claim) but when it comes to a guy who has never beat anyone of note (his best win is between Sanders and Arreola ffs) and apart from 2 guys has the most sorry ass competition, he'd give the GOAT HW a good fight? That sounds a tad hypocritical to me. I too had Vitali slightly up on the against Byrd but he was certainly having problems with him and missing a lot, he quit against him in his prime and thats all that says a lot. I admit I slipped on the Spinks bit, and I agree both brothers would beat him prime for prime but I just assumed we were speaking of Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton my bad on that one, but Tate was never champion just like Vitali. For the record I'm not a Klit-hater I
respect Wlad, hes mostly beat the best (Chambers, Chagaev, Byrd etc) Ch in a poor division and I think he'd do better than Ali and is the real champion, Vitali on the other hand had one good but highly overrated showing against a past
prime LL and did nothing relevant after, his skills are pretty amateurish and he looks sloppy at times.
just to clear it all up. Only one time have I ever said Floyd was an easy out in any fantasy fight- and that was a joke because I was tired of all the srl vs Floyd fight threads. Same as I say for vit. Neither is an easy out for anyone, Floyd ESP at 130 and 135. 147, may be different. Vit isn't constrained by weight classes.
Both of their comp levels are sub par As a whole IMO bu vit's performance vs lennox trumps anything Floyd did cuz lennox was an atg. And much higher on any atg scale than anyone Floyd ever fought.

Vit looks goofy but his awkwardness helps him out.
