          That wasn't a prime Wlad.

There have only been 5 southpaw heavyweight champions in boxing history.

          Corrie Sanders
          Chris Byrd
          Ruslan Chagaev
          Sultan Ibragimov
          Michael Moorer

Tony Thompson and Juan Carlos Gomez are the two best southpaws who haven't won a HW title. Gomez was cruiserweight champ, made 11 title defences.

The Klitschkos have defeated 6 of the 7 best southpaws of all time.

Corrie Sanders is one of the biggest underachievers of all time, he had all the tools to be a great HW.

          - 6'4

          - long reach

          - very fast hands

          - good skills

          - hardest hitting southpaw of all time, Rahman said Sanders was the hardest puncher he ever faced

          - good chin

          - big heart

          - great athlete, ran the 100m in 10.7 seconds, he was also a pro rugby player

Vitali wins by simply being in shape and having a basic reach advantage against his sorry-ass opposition, who don't have a chance of getting past his defense, Foreman would be able to land without too much trouble, and though Vitalis chin is pretty good it wouldn't be able to take what Foreman gives.

None of that means he was any good when wlad fought him, just because you have the basis to be a good fighter doesn't mean you are one. He was b-level at best, a glorified sparring partner who stretched wlad. He had talent but far from world class, he ran that kind of 100m time when he was late teens early 20's not 34...it is irrelevant any how. Evander Holyfield ran the 100m in 11 flat, I wouldn't regard him as a more athletic fighter than tyson for example just because he can sprint fast, you need agility, footwork and coordination to go with it

                Yeah definitely!

they would most definitely 'last' in the 70s. top ten without a doubt.

I dont think either beats Frazier, Ali or Foreman though...maybe Vitali would beat Foreman, but personally I dont think so.
I think Norton had the ability to beat both brothers as well, although there is a chance that Wladimir bombs him out if Wladimir is smart and decides to go on insane attack mode early.

Either Klitschko beats any HW from any era.

Vit, most definitely. He's a lot craftier that he's getting credit for in this thread.

He could beat any hw of the 70's but I wouldn't favor him over Ali or probably Frazier. I got him even money v foreman (cuz vit can fight going backwards and step to the side) and norton.

Everyoje else I would favor vit over.

Wlad would have never had a chance to regain his confidence.

Lennox hit vit with as big of bombs as anyone was throwing back in the day and vit took it all and kept coming.
