We'll look at his last 2 opponents.Pacman is considered the pfp king correct??154.There was Cotto,Martinez,the Punisher,Dzinziruk.Yes Cotto was a champion & beat Foreman,a guy that was supposed to be to big for Pacman.The Punisher & Martinez are leagues better than Margarito(the Punisher could fight any where from 148-154)just to put that in perspective.Even K-9 is a 5-6 jr middleweight champ,coming off of a ko over Spinks.All those mentioned were tried & true fighters at that weight at that time.

Now instead of Mosley,Pacman could have fought Berto.Welterweight champ,unify the division.Berto was coming off of a 1st round ko.Pacman has been criticized for fighting guys coming off of bad performances.He could have chosen Bradley,highest ranked at 140.He could have chosen Marquez & even fought him at around 138.He could have defended that 154 strap against K-9 dammit,legitimately.But instead he chose a 40 year old who hasn't looked good in 2 fights.

And again 99.9% of all welterweights would not be cherry picking if they fought Mosely tomorrow! That says more about pac's skills and stature than it does about his careful matchmaking.


And who exactly has power and speed that under the age of 33 thats worth a good God damn? Berto would be a nice opponent but seriously when Luis Collazo is the bigest name on your resume forgive me if i don't see any diffrence between pac fighting him or pac fighting Mosely. Especially when a limited fighter likwe Collazo pushed berto to the limit!

Ok I understand what you are saying but there are more competive fights out there for manny
but unfortunately its a biz and we the fans are on the short end of the stick
he would rather fight an old mosley who only has a punchers chance instead of a young lion like berto who can match him with speed and maybe power
everyone gets their shot man
Look at Oscar gave pac his shot and got burned for it
I think when he fought SSM is a better example and it was a great 2 fights
and it brought us SSM
why cant pac do the same? If he wins then he would get props for fighting somone who
1. isnt with top rank
2. isnt over 33
3. isnt past prime
4. was a real dual threat in the ring

If pac were to fight Berto, or Khan, or Bradley and light them up then so be it

2 years ago Pac was fighting Ricky Hatton you know the Junior welterweight? Forgive him if his team didn't consult nostradaumus so he would know how effective he would be at Welter and if you people crap on manny for making cotto lose 1 ***ing pound what do you think you ***s would say if he made sergio come back down a full weight class? Again he was a flyweight when he started how many flyweights fight full fledged welterweights in their career? Nevermind that 99.9% of all the welterweights in pro boxing right now would never be accused of Cherry Picking when their opponent is Shane Mosely.

in a way, it makes sense to say pac is cherrypicking especially this fight against mosley. but only because pac has already reached that level of greatness as a fighter where he should be fighting guys at his level. it's expected that people want to see him in a more competetive fight but the problem is there's not much good matchup for him at his weight level except floyd. some people have gone ****** to match him up with the middlewieght champ just so they can say there's somebody out there who can beat him.

anther sad part is a lot of these pac critics find it hard to acknowledge pac as a great fighter. they say he's cherrypicking or his fights are scripted. little do the know that they're already painting the greatness of pac. when cotto, clottey, margarito and mosley are cherrypicks...that says a lot.

You do realize that those are some high ass expectations that nobody in boxing even comes close to acheiving. I wish every top PFP champion would be taking on two fighters that have won 7 diffrent championships in3 diffrent weight classes combined back to back. Lets also not forget being outweighed by 12 pounds or more come fight night.

I know Manny is #1 PFP but those are some ridiculous ass expectations. And I highly doubt a win of martinez would of shut anyone up, they would of just said that he's in his mid 30's and he was just another old washed up fighter.

This is simple PAC has so much scrutiny because he refused to fight the following and there is no argument over his denial.
