I really need subtitles, but the person who upped the video was kind enough to subtitle only 1 line, I wonder why? he said he "had to lose" and then subsequently said, "I wasn't there b/c I had a very rough day" (I don't know if he's talking about the diarrhea issue that he mentioned before or what?) There's a reason I don't fall for the whole, staging a fight bull****, b/c if Clottey wins he makes more money and becomes a bigger star than he could ever achieve merely 'losing' a fight, as displayed by the current state of his "career." And do I need to mention that, Pacquiao is the overall better fighter. I think Clottey is somewhat underrated by some, yet overrated by others....he has the physical capabilities to be a good fighter, he has a very disciplined defense, a coordinated offense, along with your average intangibles, but he lacks something true champions have - and maybe that's heart, maybe it's just some kinda push, whatever....Every fight he's lost he's had an excuse, he's always fell short in his biggest bouts (aside from Judah), is it really a coincidence he had an "off day?" I think this has more to do with discrediting Pacquiao than it does Clottey, as a fighter, and that only highlights the sad group of today's boxing "fans."
With all that said, I want to believe Clottey had an off day, but quite frankly, I believe if Clottey opened up more, he would've been tagged more, but that's something he nor I will ever really know. I'm glad he's willing to put this fight behind him and move on, hopefully he gets a win over whoever he's fighting next (he's hella inactive tho) and maybe he gets another title shot in the future. I still think he was one of the bigger guys at welterweight, but perhaps a step up in weight is the way to go.
If Pacquiao is not a special fighter what does it make Clottey then?
I think that the bottomline here is that there's a language barrier, I don't think that he meant that literally, I really think that he wants to say is somewhere along the lines of:
• Pacquiao is good but not great and he didn't hurt me, I don't see anything really special beyond what the media are saying about him.
But having said that, Clottey is still a sore loser for not acknowledging his defeat. Simple.
He always hints to these interviews back home that he threw the fight/it was fixed/he was forced to. If it was really fixed he would have sold his story to some tabloid for a ****load of cash. Fixing fights is illegal; Arum couldn't have made him sign some nondisclosure contract if it involved throwing the fight, because being contractually obligated to commit a crime in not legally binding.
It's like getting beat up by a scrawny kid at a park on the other side of town, then going to school on Monday and telling everyone you were jumped by 5 gang****ers. What a **** Clottey is.
HOWEVER, knowing someone who boxed professional and fought pro as a kickboxer for the world title. I know that promoters can LEGALLY offer you MORE money if you lose and less money if you win.

Every time Clottey opened up with one punch, Pac came back at him with a 4-6 punch combination
This was after the destruction of Cotto of course, so Clottey said "****" it.
He said, "I busted my as.s fighting Cotto and got robbed...they'll rob me here to plus dis lil ***** can **** me up...****k it i'll play it safe, as I probably won't win"
Any1 who doesn't see this didn't really see the fight. **** all that diarhea, threw away the fight BS.
Pac is simply a great boxer. **** Clottey 4 being a quitting, lying, disgraceful b1tch of a fighter.
