Well his career isn't over yet so its hard to say if he ends up on most ppls ATG lists but I think longevity says more about a fighter than any singular win. If he makes it to 20 defenses against ok-good comp because those are the best guys around its a bit silly to disqualify him as one of the best champions ever because other fighters just were not anywhere near as good as him.

I don't think that I would put him in my ATG list of Heavyweights just yet. However, when you talk about this type of thing, it depends on what you look at.

If you want to talk about him in the sense that he hasn't beat the best Heavyweights, you have a point. However, that's not the only thing that makes a fighter great.

He's been undefeated in his last 13 fights. 10 by way of knockout. He's been knockout by lesser opponents, however he's lasted the test of time and has gone to the top. He's the true champion at Heavyweight and has essentially round up all the championships. The only ones he hasn't are those held by his older brother and David Haye's. With Vitali, it's obvious why that fight hasn't happened.

With Haye, that's a whole different story. Still, he does have the only championship that matters. Big KO percentage, close to 60 fights with only three losses and more than 50 wins. You can't just look over this.

In terms of domination, he's a decent contender for ATG status. Still, I think he needs a couple big wins.

The best thing that could happen to him is that he beats Haye while Solis beats Vitali. If he avenged that loss, he'd be able to start closing up with career with two big wins.

The best thing that could happen to Wlad's career and legacy is that big bro loses and he avenges the loss.

He beat what was out there, he gets props for that.

Unfortunately there was nothing great out there to beat, so he can't be an ATG. Can he?

He hasnt beat any greats because they weren't available. He's been dominant over the guys that were available. I dont have a problem with him making the list as long as its not too high.

How can you be a 'great' if you don't beat even one 'great'?

                    Doesn't make sense to me.
